Dinosaur footprints.

Costalomo: Three-fingered footprims attributables to carnivorous dinosaurs have been identified here. It's main characteristic is that the footprints are in high relief.

Peña Uñor: The footprints we find in this place are in high relief as well and belong to both carnivorous and herbivorous dinosaurs.

Sculture of Iguanodon.

In a beatiful gardened walk along me banks of the river Arlanza, a huge sculpture, made of bronze, of 11 metres for length and 7 metres of height, is set. It stands for a dinosaur called Iguanodon and it has beenmade by the famous scultor from Burgos Bruno Cuevas.

Castrovido.

It is two Kilometres away from downtown Salas and in order to get there the best choice is to follow the path that goes from La Fuente street in St Mary's district so that the visitor can enjoy during the walk the fantastic landscapes of the Arlanza river shores having the Castle of Castrovido (14th century defensive turret, but there is proof of a turret located there from as long as 10th century) and the sierra of La Demanda as background.

Dinosaurs prints.

Mambrillas de Lara (sauropods), Salas (Costalomo and Peñauñor) , Regumiel de la Sierra (location "El Frontal").

Monasteries.

Between Hortigüela and Covarrubias (ruins of the Monastery of San Pedro de Arlanza, the cradle of Castilla) , Covarrubias (popular architecture) ,

Santo Domingo de Silos (representative example of Romanesc art).

Necropolise.

In Salas de los Infantes (Santa Maria's Church, Medieval sarcophaguses from the 10th century) , Quintanar de la Sierra (Necropolis of Cuyacabras) and Revenga; with more than a hundred tombs.

Romanesque art.

In the lands of Lara a great number of churches, know as the "School of the Sierra"). The best examples are: Vizcaínos, Jaramillo de la Fuente, San Millán de Lara and Pineda de la Sierra.

Mining railway.
